In this section we have listed albums and singles released by Michael Jackson  as an adult solo artist. These are all albums he has released since taking over total control of his career and own decisions. On previous albums with the Jacksons 5 or as a solo artist with Motown, Michael was under the influence of others and not always able to make all the decisions that he felt were right.

This discography lists the album title, group name, record label and album number. Underneath that information is a list of the album’s tracks. Off to the side is the title of all of the singles released from that album. There are a few instances of an album released without any singles being released. There were also a few singles released without a corresponding album.
